Live Like You Were Dying

What's on your bucket list?

Those of you who saw the movie The Bucket List will remember the song "Live Like You Were Dying" sung by Tim McGraw.  Tim was featured on the CBS Sunday Morning show on Sunday, February 3rd and what an interesting story he had!  It seems that when he was 11, he found out that his father was really Tug McGraw, the famous major league baseball player,  Tug was born in 1944 and signed with the Mets in 1964.  He was later traded to the Phillies in 1974 and, as pitcher, he was responsible for their 1980 World Series win.

Tim later reconnected with his father.  In 2003, Tug was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor, and Tim and his wife Faith Hill saw to it that he had the best care.  Tug passed away in 2004, and Tim wrote the song "Live Like You Were Dying" in honor of his dad and his unending zeal for life.
